What are your tools and can you post some tips when doing photo restoration? Thanks!

I used the CanoScan software when scanning the images and scanned at 800dpi I believe it was.
From there, I took the images in to Photoshop at work and just did basic touch ups of area’s for the lighting, levels, brightness and contrast.
One a few of the images I had to use the clone stamp tool to repair some water damages, or simple wear and tear from being old, one photograph even had pen marks all over it from someone scribbling on it.
